I currently have a quantam 6 loaded with goodies! its an expensive buy but once you try a 35 inch scale graphite neck ( graphite necks have zero dead spots) you will have a hard time going back to wood. also, it has to be a good company, Flea (RHCP) now has his bass made by them

I'm in the market for a good 5 or 6 string (leaning towards a 5 string). Anyone have any recommendations to try-out?

Also..

Is Alvarez a quality bass brand? I've heard good things about their guitars; wondering how their basses compare.
