Dance Vocal Recording Techniques: Plosive Sounds
Plosive sounds can really destroy a recording. Once recorded you can use some EQ and other tricks to get the plosive sounds turned down a little but sibilance and plosive sounds do more damage to a vocal track than almost anything else. A perfect singer, with perfect lryics would not cause these problems, but as a music producer in the real world you have to deal with plosive sounds every time you are recording dance vocals.
